Age and AMH
Here are the average AMH values in ng/dL and the 95% confidence interval of AMH for patients that did IVF with oocyte retrieval in 2024 and early 2025 at our center. It is notable that the upper confidence interval decreases markedly with increasing age.
The upper range of AMH values consists almost entirely patients with PCOS. This seems to suggest that women with PCOS have a drastic decrease in their antral follicles throughout their 30s. This can make it more difficult to accurately diagnose PCOS in the mid to late 30s. It is probably most accurate to diagnose PCOS between age 20 and 35 years.
